Better Buffs 1.5 and 1.5.1
This mod improves the effectiveness of consumable buff items in Stalker 2, making them more impactful and longer-lasting. For players who want to get more value and utility from Energy Drinks, Water, PsyBlock, and Hercules.
UPDATE:
Updated mod code so it uses “Refurl” instead of replacing all of EffectPrototypes.cfg. This should make compatibility better.
This mod overhauls the performance of several buff-related consumables in Stalker 2, extending their durations and enhancing their benefits to make them more useful in both combat and exploration.
Energy Drink
Stamina Regen buff extended from 45 to 210 seconds.
Now grants 50 seconds of Poppy Field (hallucination) immunity.
Stamina per Action buff extended from 30 to 90 seconds and improved from -10% to -20%.
Hunger penalty removed entirely.
Limited Edition Energy Drink
Stamina Regen buff doubled from 300 to 600 seconds.
Hunger penalty removed.
Water
Stamina per Action buff extended from 30 to 60 seconds.
Stamina Regen buff increased significantly from 5 to 60 seconds.
Hercules
Duration increased from 300 to 600 seconds, making it more viable for longer hauls.
PsyBlock
Buff duration increased from 60 to 100 seconds, providing longer mental resistance in Psy-heavy areas.
These changes make consumables more tactical and rewarding to use, reducing the need for frequent micromanagement while enhancing immersion and survivability across the Zone. Fully compatible with most mods that don’t alter item stats or effects.
