Flange Pak Modular QoL Modules v1.7.1a
Includes bpatch modules for: Social Disance, Parkour/Vaulting, Stamina/Sprint, Save Game Limit Increase, No Low Rad Static, No Crouch Vignette, BaseTurnRate/MouseLook
These modules should be widely compatible with other mods. But I can’t make promises and can’t guarantee anything.
The new bpatch method allows mods to only change a specific thing. Before you had to have a full copy of the entire .cfg file. Which is where a lot of conflicts and the need to merge mods came from. The bpatch system is new, and it’s still being figured out in full. On paper doing mods as bpatch modules like this should make them a lot more compatible with other mods. And also with game updates. But we won’t 100% know for sure how layering bpatched mods on top of each will actually work out.
Let me know if you have issues.
Please try to include the logs in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Logs. Specifically the “Conflicting mods overview.txt” and “Stalker2.log” files.
Installation:
drag and drop the .pak files into the ~mods folder
Parkour:
-Includes fall damage modifier set to 88.
-The vault angle is set 80. This is to prevent vaulting on things beside you which can mess up a lot of parkour/platforming.
-Vault height is 325. You can get up on stuff that makes sense, but without getting too crazy.
SocialDistance:
-Mostly the same as Axii Social Distance, but as a discreet bpatch module.
Over9KSaves:
-Only bpatches the regular save game limit to maximize compatibility with other mods.
Stamina/Sprinting:
-My own values I’ve come to like.
NoLowRad:
-Removes the static effect only at the lowest level.
-Also move the lowest level to end at 3.5 instead of .1
NoCrouchEffect
-Removes the crouch vignette effect
BaseTurnRate
-changes that value to 35. The default is too high for me, but 30 is too low for me.
-This is is your turn rate in game for looking around.
For Modders:
If anyone unpaks all these and notices the each one has a slightly different filename for “ObjPrototypes_FlangePakM.cfg” there’s a very important reason for that. I learned that if you have multiple bpatches using the exact same file name it causes issues. Every bpatch targeting the same root file needs a unique file name. My system is that M is for modular, and the lower case letters are the first letters of the mod name.
