FlangePak – Why Not Both Upgrades (bpatch method) v1.7.1a
Why can’t we have both upgrades!? I don’t want to choose one over the other! This mod uses the {bpatch} method to open up all blocked upgrade paths so you can purchase all upgrades. Using this method should make this version more compatible with other mods. This is the first release. If you encounter bugs please let me know.
Note: The cat picture of Butters is a placeholder until I get some proper screenshots. If it’s cool I want to keep using pictures of butters to catch people’s eye as the thumbnail. Butters is not part of the mod unfortunately.
This mod uses the {bpatch} method to change all instances of “BlockingUpgradePrototypeSIDs” to being an empty value. Instead of editing the entire UpgradePrototypes.cfg it injects/patches the specified nodes to change only exactly what’s needed. This *should* be more compatible with other modes that modify UpgradePrototypes.cfg.
I’ve only used this with BetterBallistics. I can’t make promises with any other mods. If you do have issues please let me know.
If you get a “Fatal error! Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000000000000a8” on startup that means there is a compatibility issue with another mod.
It also occurs with mods using bpatch and refurl methods if there’s any kind of formatting error or mistake in the code. If you’re have crashing issues with mods(especially since 1.7.1) try and see if there’s a specific mod that causes that error.This is the initial release.
Versioning will be the version of the game it’s meant for with letters to indicate which iteration/update it is for that version of the game.
For example 1.7.1a is the first release for Stalker 2 1.7.1. 1.71b would be the 2nd release for 1.7.1.
Second Note – This page is a work in progress. I’ll make it all spiffy and proper later.
Third Note – I had a request for a no Blueprints version. I do want to accommodate this, but it is a low priority task for me. If anyone out there wants to unpak my mod and flange up a no blueprints version I explained what needs to be changed in the “Posts” section. If you do, please make sure to give me proper credit and link back to this page.
