Please read the description. In Steam we cannot add Localization, thus you need to download it and manually install it. Scroll down to see where to download it and how to install.
DISCLAIMER: This mod is in its TESTING PHASE. It is by no means finished, and anything could change. However I wish to upload it to get feedback from the community. Please leave your feedback in comments. Any bugs you find, there will be a discussion here in Steam to report them.

Changelog
1.1 Update:
– Traders are now back to how they were in vanilla: The type of items you buy and sell are the same as in vanilla again. They will still keep selling or buying items from the mod.- The traders no longer sell broken stuff, all they sell is brand new. I’m still not 100% convinced on this, but we’ll see how the community recieves it. When load order problems are fixed, I may put a patch to change this slightly.- Loot in breakable boxes has been reduced in general.- Loot in breakable boxes that are medical or ammo, now only drop medical or ammo. Bigger boxes have a chance to drop something else than food. Big items (such as guitars), have been removed from the loot table on these.- Reduced the chances of some loot in stashes and corpses.- Removed end game armours dropping from anywhere. Even if they were broken, it is true that they could be sold for a lot. Let me know if you find any around still.- Fixed multiple missing icons. Do keep reporting if you find any others that are missing.- Fixed multiple missing 3d models. Do keep reporting if you find any others that are missing.
1.0 First release.

Known issues:
Localization has to be manually downloaded and installed. Very sorry for this, but I cannot do anything about this. GSC is trying to find a fix.

Content:
Lootable Zone features wide itemization in the game. But more than itemization, it adds items to be used along with Craftable Zone mod. This means that most items will have a use. Some of them however, are pure valuables that you can rarely find to sell to traders and make a bit more of money. Others are implemented to have new content in the future, be it through new quests, or mechanics.

Paired along Craftable Zone, many items in Lootable Zone can be disassembled into materials. Or you can use these items to create other items, such as devices, drugs, ammo and medicine, or soon in the future, armours. Players can expect a kind of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly feel in terms of itemization, as this mod was heavily inspired in that mod, and also in terms of crafting possibilities. The aim for this mod is deep in immersion and story telling, but also struggle in The Zone.

The items from the mod can be looted from downed enemies, who drop items depending on their faction, but also depending on who they are: when looting an enemy you may find that the loner you killed was working with scientists, or a duty soldier who was once an IPSF soldier, perhaps you find a bandit who’s hobby is to hunt IPSF soldiers, or a Freedomer who is a mutant hunter. You may find some deeper story on who the stalker you killed was. Enemies also may sometimes drop outfits, but in bad condition, ready for disassembly, or usage if you are really struggling.

Traders also sell items from the mod, outfits or weapons in not the greatest of conditions. Their stock has been revamped, for a more struggling Zone kind of feel. The Zone isn’t an easy place, but you can also survive without traders.

The overworld and its spawns have changed. Everywhere where there could spawn anything in the world, now can spawn anything from this mod. This means that places that only had medkits or bandages, now have items from the mod, thus it also heavily lowers the amount of medicine and food you can get in the world, possibly making the game a little harder for some. You can go into that abandoned building and explore it, and find items you can use to craft something, or maybe a valuable you can sell, incentivising exploration. Along with those spawns in vanilla, I have added nearly 400 new ones around Lesser Zone, and I will keep expanding this.
Mutants now also drop meat, which you can use to cook if using Craftable Zone.

Most of the items in this mod also have custom 3D models. This means that when you are walking around, and find one, it will be visible what it is. Aswell, they have handcrafted custom icons based on these 3D models. These 3D models are from the game itself to keep the same style, although many of them were made by myself.

Installaltion:
Download the mod and the localization files, open them, and drop the six files (LootingItemsStalker2-Windows and Localization_P) into your ~mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it in Steam\steamapps\common\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods.

Localization includes lastest version of OXA. However I recommend Merged Localization if you have many mods that change localization.

Compatibility
This mod is not immediately compatible with any others that:

  • Edit character loadouts. If they do, you may not get the items from this mod when you loot a corpse.
  • Edits trader stock. If they do, traders may not sell the items from this mod.
  • Edits mutant loot generators. If they do, mutants may not drop mutant meat.
  • Edits stash generators (destructible objects included). If they do, items from this mod may not drop in stashes or destructable boxes.

Patches would need to be made for it to work. I plan to add support for mods like OXA natively in the future, as I use that mod myself a lot aswell.

FAQ
Is a new save needed?
If you want to have items spawning in the overworld, as in laying around, yes, most likely. Otherwise the new items will start to appear slowly over time in corpses or traders.

What are the plans for the future in the mod?
You can scroll down to see, but as a tease, some of these plans include custom consumable first person animations for the foods, aswell as add cigarettes in with- yes, a cigarette animation that is half done already.

I found a bug, where do I report it?
You can report bugs in the comments.

TO DO:
Add more custom 3d models to the items that are missing them.
Remake wristwatch icons.
Create custom animations for the mutant food items in first person. Down the line I also plan to implement a smoking animation with cigarette items which is already half done.
Add extra compatibility with certain mods such as OXA, to be able to craft items from OXA. This will likely be put as a separate mod.
Continue adding spawn points of items around the world.
Enable some more items that are unfinished. Some need their 3d model and icon finished, others will have extra functionality. Some already existing will also get custom functionality.
Implement tea and coffee as items to cook.
Improve localization for a more immersive experience.
(Console) Add Localization. Unable to do at this moment, very sorry.
