1k textures pack
Not so far ago, in a galaxy not so far away, there was a guy who made a “Poor mans Stalker 2” mod, that downscaled most of the games textures to 1k, which slightly increased the performance, and when you fight for every single frame — 2-3 frames start to matter a lot.
I didn’t measure the performance with and without his mod, but I went with my feelings, and it feels like it does relief my graphics card a bit.
The issue is — some textures came out broken. Unfortunately, the OP have deleted his files, and believe me when I tell you this, he have done A LOT of mundane, boring work, to make it happen. Huge KUDOS to agent 0xc000007b, and with his permission, I’m allowed to use his work as a headstart in creating my mod.
For now, I’ve only completed the Part 5, so if you are looking for a way to downscale textures in your game, go to his mod, get all the Parts except 5 there, and pick the Part 5 from here. I’m gonna test this one for a while, gonna see what other textures to downscale and put into this pack, and then I’ll move on to the next pack, so, be sure to come back later to pick up an updated version.
